Elerion
(eh-leer-ee-uhn)
(eh-leer-ee-uhn)
In Belhaven, the Elirion are among the most populous of the city's Elven tribes. As a people who cherish the blessings of nature, Elirion prefer to spend as much time as possible outdoors. In fact, many Elirion tribes make their dwelling outside the walls of the city, using their keen survival skills to elude Hellbeasts and thrive among the trees. Within the city, the homes and businesses of Elirion neighborhoods are circular in their design, with a large outdoor space at the building's center where Elirion home-makers spend a great deal of time curating and caring for their gardens. Their families are large and close-knit, with several generations of a family living in a home with multiple stories and upwards of ten rooms, often in communities of interconnected Elven families. Due to historical discrimination against Elves, particularly the Elirion, there exists a natural wariness toward non-Elves. However, those who demonstrate sincerity and friendship will discover wise counsel and steadfast companionship within the Elirion community.

Hutai
(hoo-tai)
(hoo-tai)
The southern jungles and rainforests of Elaesqua are home to the various Hutai tribes, who are known for their beautiful craftsmanship and well-ordered cities of stone blending perfectly into the lush landscape of their homeland. There are very few Hutai in Belhaven, but those who do dwell in small (often poor) communities within the city are vigilant in the preservation of their culture, language, and history, resisting integration into the mainstream culture. Hutai wear a symbol on their foreheads made from clay, stone, or even precious gems denoting their family of origin. society is martriarchal in nature, organizing around a female chief (a "Hukapei") and a male shaman (a "Vo'koan"). While the mantle of Hukapei is passed on from mother to daughter through family lineage, the next Vo'koan is chosen by consulting the ancestors before the current Vo'koan dies. The Hutai are known for their affinity with the spirits, both Daemons and the ghosts of their ancestors. The practice of making Pupua dolls which draw in and trap spirits within them is practiced for tribal ceremonies and religious rites, generally providing luck and their (reluctant) blessings to their owners.

Lakooie
(lah-koo-ee)
(lah-koo-ee)
Descended from the nomadic tree-dwellers of Eleasqua's deepest forests and river valleys, the Lakooie of Belhaven are a diminutive, dark-skinned people whose culture and history has been all but lost to the ravages of time. Once, they were spirit-talkers, a people who lived alongside the Daemons of the forest. The Lakooie of today may have lost many of the traditions surrounding this art form, but something in their spirits still resonates with the unseen folk. Ghosts follow them. Ancestors whisper to them. Daemons watch their comings and goings with bemusement. It seems that wherever a Lakooie steps, the spirits are not far behind. Often living among other Elves, Lakooie make their way through the world not only as merchants and skilled craftsmen, but as fortune tellers, mediums, and performers. Some even join the corps of Rangers, leveraging their natural affinity for navigating the wilderness to hunt wild game, track the movements of Hellbeasts, and search for valuable resources outside the city walls.

Melquen
(mehl-qwehn)
(mehl-qwehn)
From the island chains surrounding the far western shores of Eleasqua, the Melquen were once masters of the seas and their expertise at shipcraft and seamanship has been passed on to the descendants of the great "sea elves" who now reside in Belhaven. Though the city itself is landlocked, the Melquen continue to ply their trade as shipwrights and boatmen along the river Bel Abris. Their small riverside communities can be found throughout Arx and Riven. where what is remembered about their rich and colorful culture remains intact, passed down through the generations. Melquen dress in colorful robes of azure, indigo, and aqua blue, wear elaborate adornments, and cover their arms in tattoos which tell the stories of their people and women traditionally tattoo their lips and the area around their mouths blue. Theirs is a rich oral history of heroes who fought sea-monsters, befriended gods, and conquered the waves, a heritage that has been passed on to those who now call land-locked Belhaven their home.

Tirithar
(Tih-ruh-thahr)
(Tih-ruh-thahr)
The vast subterranean darkness of Eleasqua was once home to the great Queendoms of the Tirithar, a tribe of "dark elves". While the status of these realms is unknown since the fall of the world, the Tirithar have endured, some even living among the people of Belhaven. Though their preference for dark locales sees them residing in windowless manors and sprawling subterranean estates, many Tirithar are quite involved in the social life of the city as their penchant for intrigue sees many deeply entrenched in the political and financial institutions which make up the bedrock of Belhavian society. Tirithar have a reputation as brilliant, manipulative tacticians and graceful yet savage warriors. Bitter grudges and old rivalries still linger between the Tirithar and many of the city's other Elven tribes, causing tension and civil unrest. Even so, the Tirithar remain aloof and cold, always prepared with new plans and subtleties to achieve their goals.
